Kaduna International Crops & Grains Innovation Summit
About KICGIS
The Kaduna International Crops & Grains Innovation Summit (KICGIS) is conceived as an enduring platform — designed to operate and grow year after year, anchored to food security, trade and regional development rather than a single edition or market cycle.
Our Vision
Our Mission — to accelerate sustainable crop production and green industrial transformation, from smallholder fields to export-ready commodity markets.
Core Objectives
Mobilize domestic and foreign capital into priority crops and green industry value chains.
Accelerate mechanization, irrigation and climate-smart practices.
Translate research and innovation into deployable, investable ventures.
Equip farmers, cooperatives and agribusinesses with the skills to scale.
Strengthen regional commodity trade linkages and international visibility.
Bring evidence-based industry input into government policy processes.
Governance
KICGIS is incorporated as a private company limited by guarantee under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 — a non-profit structure in which members contribute toward shared objectives rather than holding shares. Its work is coordinated with the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture and Synergos Nigeria through a jointly constituted Main Organizing Committee, ensuring the platform reinforces — rather than duplicates — state strategy.
Beyond the Summit
KICGIS combines an expo and conference with a commodity investment forum, a smallholder inclusion platform, a research and innovation track, and a trade and export centre — positioning it as a permanent agricultural transformation institution for Kaduna State, not a seasonal trade show.
