Kaduna International Livestock & Poultry Industry Summit

About KILPIS

A permanent institution, not a one-off event.

The Kaduna International Livestock & Poultry Industry Summit (KILPIS) is conceived as an enduring platform — designed to operate and grow year after year, anchored to food security, trade and regional development rather than a single edition or market cycle.

Farmer capacity-building in Kaduna State.

Our Vision

Africa's leading livestock and poultry industry platform.

Our Mission — to connect producers, processors, investors, researchers and policymakers for sustainable livestock transformation, from the farmgate to the export market.

Core Objectives

What KILPIS is built to deliver.

Investment Attraction

Mobilize domestic and foreign capital into priority livestock and poultry value chains.

Technology Adoption

Accelerate modern production, processing and cold-chain practices.

Research Commercialization

Translate research and innovation into deployable, investable ventures.

Capacity Building

Equip farmers, cooperatives and agribusinesses with the skills to scale.

Trade Promotion

Strengthen regional trade linkages and international visibility.

Policy Advocacy

Bring evidence-based industry input into government policy processes.

Governance

Independent, industry-led — built in partnership with government.

KILPIS is incorporated as a private company limited by guarantee under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020 — a non-profit structure in which members contribute toward shared objectives rather than holding shares. Its work is coordinated with the Kaduna State Ministry of Agriculture and Synergos Nigeria through a jointly constituted Main Organizing Committee, ensuring the platform reinforces — rather than duplicates — state strategy.

Beyond the Summit

A year-round platform, anchored by an annual flagship event.

KILPIS combines an expo and conference with an investment forum, a farmer development centre, a policy and advocacy track, and a trade facilitation function — positioning it as a permanent agricultural transformation institution for Kaduna State, not a seasonal trade show.
